✅ Old wounds from a critical or emotionally unavailable upbringing still affect you today.

✅ You’re trying to “do it differently” for your family — but it feels exhausting and lonely.

✅ You want a safe space to process your story, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

About Our Practice

At Althought Therapy, we help self-aware, emotionally overwhelmed adults break free from cycles of anxiety, self-doubt, and old patterns. Many of our clients are navigating parenting young children, big life transitions, pregnancy, or postpartum — all while carrying the weight of unresolved childhood experiences.

We know how overwhelming it can feel to juggle the pressure of being a cycle-breaker with the reality of your own unprocessed pain. Our therapists provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can be fully seen, heard, and supported.

We Can Help You With:

  • Anxiety & Overthinking — Gaining tools to calm your mind and body.

  • Parenting Stress — Navigating triggers and building the safe, loving home you want.

  • Life Transitions — Managing the uncertainty and emotions that come with big changes.

  • Emotional Intensity — Learning to work with, rather than against, your deep feelings.

FAQs

How can therapy help me?

Therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process your experiences, identify patterns, and learn tools to manage anxiety, emotional intensity, and stress.

What issues do you help with?

We work with adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, parenting stress, big life changes, and the lasting impact of growing up with emotionally immature, neglectful, or critical caregivers.

What can I expect from the first session?

In your first session, your therapist will get to know you, understand your goals, and begin mapping out a plan tailored to your needs. It’s also your chance to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

Do you accept insurance?

We are a private-pay practice — which means your therapy decisions stay between you and your therapist, not an insurance company. This allows us to focus on what truly matters for your healing, without limits on session length, frequency, or the number of sessions you can have. We can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes. Research shows online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for most concerns, including anxiety and stress.

Is everything said in therapy confidential?

The information shared between yourself, and your therapist is confidential with a few exceptions.

The exceptions are:

- Known and suspected child and elder abuse

- Danger to yourself or another or gravely disabled

- Duty to Warn: if you report a serious, imminent physical violent act towards yourself or other(s)

- Court order demanding release of information

- Clients under the age of 12

How do I get started?
